Accreditations and Affiliations

AdvancED is the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).

The Association of Colombian-Caribbean American Schools is one of the three Regional associations affiliated with the Tri-Association. Our membership of 21 schools supports the continuation of an American education in our part of the world.

AASSA’s mission is to provide and promote programs and services to member schools to enhance the quality of American International Education. As an organization, AASSA values service leadership, quality and effectiveness.

The Association of American Schools of Central America, Colombia, Caribbean and Mexico seeks to improve the quality of teaching and learning opportunities for the schools in this region by exploring ways to achieve better understanding through international education, provide an avenue for communication and cooperation among member institutions, and facilitate cooperation with national, state, local, and non-governmental agencies in the field of international education.

This certification ratifies our commitment to Social Responsibility and commitment to society and the planet.

Virtual High School (VHS) is the worldwide leader in collaborative online education and professional development.Academic options include: Full-year and semester-length courses Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-AP courses Summer School. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has approved many VHS courses for use in establishing the initial-eligibility certification status of student-athletes. www.govhs.org

The Columbus School has a strategic initiative called Columbus Character and Values within its Navigational Chart. This initiative implemented Character Counts, a successful world-class program that works with values, based on 6 pillars of character.

The CONSORCIO POR LA INFANCIA Y LA JUVENTUD Corporation is a national initiative that unites educational institutions, entities and leaders that promote actions in favor of childhood and youngsters.
