Our curriculum is based on standards and rubrics for each subject, which are reviewed when needed to ensure that there is a meaningful scope and sequence of skills, concepts, knowledge and attitudes that are systematically taught and evaluated. Learning principles are followed to help maintain continuity from elementary school through high school. Teachers use the “backward” design model when developing their unit plans by department and by grade. The curriculum map contains great ideas, essential questions, resources and assessments for each unit taught throughout the school year. Schoolwide meetings are held several times a year to discuss alignments and shared resources for continuous improvement.
